CODE WITHIN: FORCE FIELD

FORCE FIELD, the second chapter of C0DE WITHIN explores attraction: the invisible pull that extends beyond the body and shapes the space around it.

For two decades, Escentric Molecules has challenged conventional ideas of how fragrance behaves. Rather than projecting an identity outward, its compositions work in dialogue with the wearer, interacting with individual chemistry to create something uniquely personal. In FORCE FIELD, that chemistry expands beyond the skin, becoming an unseen force that alters the atmosphere wherever it moves.

Here, fragrance is imagined as a field of influence already in motion. Not something applied or performed, but something activated. A presence that cannot always be traced, yet can be felt. The subtle shift in a room when someone enters. The instinct to move closer. The sense of familiarity before a word has been spoken.

FORCE FIELD turns attention to the pheromonic dimension of scent: not as literal biology, but as metaphor for magnetism and a cultural fascination. The enduring belief that attraction operates beyond conscious perception. That chemistry exists before explanation. That certain people possess a gravitational pull, a magnetic quality that cannot be reduced to appearance, language or intention alone.

The idea that attraction is not manufactured through scent, but brought into focus by it.

This is the territory Escentric Molecules has occupied since the launch of Molecule 01 and Escentric 01. Fragrance not as disguise, transformation or performance, but as amplification. Not becoming someone else, but revealing something already present.

Your chemistry has pull.

The scents remain constant, yet their effects are never fixed. On one wearer they may feel intimate and cocooning; on another, expansive, radiant or electric. What changes is not the formula, but the field it generates around the individual. A living interaction between scent, skin, identity and environment that produces an atmosphere as unique as the person wearing it.

Twenty years on, Escentric Molecules continues to explore the power of the invisible. In FORCE FIELD, attraction becomes atmosphere. Chemistry becomes presence. And fragrance becomes a force that extends beyond the body, revealing the magnetic pull that has been there all along.

C0DE WITHIN: A language only we share.

Directed by Services Généraux, styled by Billy Lobos, with makeup by Martina Derosa, hair by Soichi Inagaki, choreography by Benjamin Jonsson, set design by Paulina Piipponen and sound by Tom Hardwick-Allan and Alex McKenzie, C0DE WITHIN reclaims Escentric Molecules' countercultural roots and marks twenty years of the skin scents that redefined what fragrance could be.

CODE WITHIN brings together three individuals from different creative worlds: Mayah Alkhateri, Alfie Sibthorpe and Soap Collins. What connects them is not a uniform identity, but a common frequency. A shared language of Escentric Molecules.
